Video Tools

DivX (Current Version)

DivX is a codec that allows you to view videos created with it. Once installed Windows Media Player and others will play videos that were compressed using DivX.

VirtualDub v1.4.9 (689KB)

Audio Tools

Wave Browser (181KB)

This is the best Wave Browser I have ever seen. It is created by UCSoft. From the developer: "This tool browses directories like the Windows explorer but only the found PCM wave files will be displayed. You can play them by a simple click on their icons. This allows you to find wanted samples easily by browsing your audio sample directories."

Wave Explorer (207KB)

This great utility was written by Vlad Parcalabior. Here is his description: 'Wave Explorer' is a friendly and powerful wave browser which allows you to easily play/copy/move wave sounds. Each wave is displayed as a button - just click it to play the sound!

For years I've wondered why I had to download individual wave files. Very few web sites have collections of sound effects. I've decided to include some of my favorites. As far as I know these are all public domain. If anyone has reason to believe that they are not please contact our webmaster. Thank you.
